Runyu Qian

R Runyu Qian is a Chinese singer-songwriter, producer, and Pipa(琵琶)virtuoso creating dreamlike pop worlds where Chinese tradition and contemporary pop converge through culture, sound, and storytelling. Blending the centuries-old voice of the Pipa(琵琶) with electronic production, dark pop, house, hip-hop, and cinematic storytelling, she transforms traditional Chinese culture into something immersive, playful, and unmistakably her own. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Runyu continues to bring her artistic vision to audiences around the world through collaborations, live performances, and immersive musical storytelling.. Rather than chasing genres, Runyu builds worlds. Her music explores girlhood, identity, healing, fantasy, and the quiet space where memory and imagination become reality. Every song is another doorway—inviting listeners to lose themselves, and perhaps find themselves again. Born in China and shaped by both Eastern tradition and Western music, Runyu creates without choosing between the two. Her work isn’t about fusing cultures—it’s about letting them exist naturally in the same dream.
