Biography & Metadata

I’m Tore G Thomassen, a Norwegian composer and musician with a deep love for melodies that tell stories without words. I grew up in Holmestrand, Norway, and started making music as a teenager, playing in an indie rock band at 15. Over the years, my musical journey has taken me in many directions, from playing in bands to composing music for television, commercials, short films and other visual projects. Today, my music is primarily rooted in neoclassical and instrumental music, blending piano, strings and subtle electronic elements. I also have a soft spot for synthpop and electronic music, drawing inspiration from sounds that have stayed with me throughout my life. I’m drawn to melancholic melodies, minor keys and nostalgic atmospheres. I love music that makes you stop for a moment, look back, and perhaps feel something you can’t quite put into words. Sometimes I imagine a memory, a place, or a moment in someone’s life when I compose. Other times, a melody simply takes me somewhere unexpected. For me, music isn’t about making everything sound perfect or happy. It’s about capturing emotions, telling stories and creating something people can connect with in their own way. Whether it’s a quiet piano piece, an orchestral melody or an electronic track, I hope my music can become part of someone’s memories, accompany a difficult day, or offer a little moment of peace in a busy world. Thank you for listening and for being part of my musical journey.
