Biography & Metadata

No one believes in wonders anymore, not in these times of eroded faith and disillusionment, but we still believe in the redeeming power of the night, of passion and desire. The Jilted soundtracks just that, the drama of the nocturne; grimy clubs that breathe acrid smoke like veils over lovers parting, the thrill of darkness, the paranoia of loneliness, the transformative power of holding up your hands against the storm. The songs are truly a raw labour of love! A towering spire of yearning and desire pulsating with the conviction of a true believer, doomed and righteous, ready to face a storm you simply can't resist. Like a soundtrack for the night; for those who live it, for those who fear it and for those who dream it… Like a soundtrack for the jilted ones. The Jilted from Sweden are Magnus Haderborg on vocals and guitars and Linus Giertta on keys and programming. Together they combine the power and energy from their other bands like critically acclaimed The Vapour Veils, Blanka and The Devines to create a mesmerizing mixture of 80s synthpop/new wave aligning with 21st century guitar driven indie hymns. Together they make music and write words about real people living real lives. // Steve Davis
