Biography & Metadata
Amsterdam-based band MICH weaves together elements of new wave, shoegaze, krautrock and pop, combining gloomy lyrics with sparkling guitar melodies for a longing mix of sad pop and happy wave. The five-piece crafts short, sorrowful songs with vibrant guitar riffs, evoking the feel of a warm summer where everything fades, as a goth at an amusement park. With echoes of early alternative scenes, MICH strikes a balance between nostalgia and a refreshingly modern sound. Their bright melodies might seem easygoing, but the lyrics dive into the vast emptiness of modern life.
