Jen Miller is the kind of soul who makes you believe in magic. With over 40 million streams and a voice that cuts through the noise, Jen Miller is an American roots artist who has bared her soul for all to witness for over a decade through her songs. Growing up in Columbus, Ohio, Miller struck virality on her “secret” YouTube account and cut her teeth touring the United States with a folk band — before she was of drinking age — opening for acts like Ed Sheeran, Cage The Elephant, Young The Giant, Shakey Graves, and Shovels & Rope. Over the years, Jen Miller's independently released music has charted iTunes Singer/songwriter charts, and in 2024, her album “Smoky Mountain Special” (2023) was considered by the Recording Academy for Best Folk Album and the song “Throw Me In The Lake” was considered for Best American Roots song. Though she claims she’s not a witch (we’re not entirely convinced), to some, her spellbinding melodies and poignant storytelling suggest otherwise. Blending organic sounds of banjo and acoustic guitars with synthesizers and pop melodies, this artist plays with the listener and pays homage to inspirations such as Alanis Morrisette, Regina Spektor, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Modest Mouse, Amy Winehouse, and CSNY. As one of humans that makes up the less than 3% of music producers who identify as female, Miller lives and breathes life as a songwriter and record producer in Nashville, where she says on the phone, "I won't die with this on my hard drive."
