Michael Borth is a Los Angeles-based DJ and producer creating emotional, cinematic, and melodic electronic music inspired by moments of transformation. His journey began unexpectedly through Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The game’s iconic 80s soundtrack sparked a fascination with music, ultimately setting him on a path from playing guitar to producing records and bringing them to life behind the decks. From Poland, through the UK, and now the US, Borth draws inspiration from different cultures to shape a global electronic sound rooted in human emotion, cinematic melodies, and organic grooves. His Warner-distributed debut EP, Give It Back, marked his evolution toward a more cinematic sound, earning global playlist support and reaching No. 8 on Beatport’s Melodic House & Techno Releases chart with Aftermath. His concept of Afterlight is a world where light transitions from one state to another. A space between what was and what comes next, filled with endless possibilities.
