Biography & Metadata
Chico Platinela is the creative alias of singer/guitar player Babuca Grimaldi and producer/percussionist Sebastian Notini. They both live and work in Bahia in the northeast of Brazil, the home state of João Gilberto, Dorival Caymmi and Caetano Veloso amongst so many other great musicians and composters. The Chico Platinela project is a journey into the heart of the bossa-nova of the 60 and 70's which they both grew up listening to and continue to evolve.
