Sense Theater

Sense Theater is the name of a musical project by Elco Eva van Alphen: theater performer, composer and multi instrumentalist in co-operation with other talented musicians. The tracks have been composed in a small medieval and spiritual city at the river side. He discovered the pleasure of ongoing and repeating sound in his contact with people with complex and intensive needs. The music creates a world of its own in which anyone feels free and unique. The labels Cafe de Anatolia, Camel Rider, Msolrecords, Tibetania Records and Camel VIP Records release remixes of Sense Theater. The nature sounds within some tracks were recorded in the area where I live. The birds in the monastery garden in spring, the nibbling sheep on the dike in summer, and in fall the geese on land and water. A safe space created by sound where you can dive deeper into the layers of your feelings. The length of the tracks, the repetitions, the warmth of the acoustic instruments and the nature sounds that were recorded in the field create a safe environment wherein you can be free and can travel in your own fantasies. The music makes it possible to travel to your inner world.
