Yo Asel

Born in Oujda in 1994, Assil Youssef also known as Yo Asel is a Moroccan Multi-Platinum music producer who drew his first inspiration from American rap and hip hop culture. Yo Asel’s love for music deepened when he was a teenager, as he was influenced by the fashion style as much as by the musical universe of his favorite artists back then such as the hip hop duo Outkast. More than a simple influence, Yo Asel was able to arm himself with a real passion for music, decided to hone his skills and pursue a professional track. Rapping was one of Yo Asel’s first steps down the path of music, as he took the plunge by writing his first rhymes and rapping his first texts in 2008. Yo Asel found himself spending the majority of his time enjoying learning about the world of music, he cultivated a sensitivity for music production and decided to devote himself completely to it. The young self-taught producer then made his debut on the FL Studio software and was continuously seeking perfection in his work. Yo Asel’s interests and influences spanned different genres and musical universes, many of which inspired his compositions, these ranged from the pioneer of sentimental Rai "Cheb Hasni” to the iconic rock band "Nirvana”. In 2014, Yo Asel's career took off following successful collaborations with national and international artists.
