Recorded largely live with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette at Studio Barbarosa, the 12-track album captures the band at its rawest, loosest, and most instinctive. SLASH’s unmistakable riffs and first recorded pedal-steel solo meet Myles Kennedy’s soaring vocals, backed by Todd Kerns, Brent Fitz, and Frank Sidoris. From the anthemic title track and driving “Avarice and Greed” to the country-tinged “Good Time Girl” and sweeping closer “Stem the Flow,” FLYING BLIND expands the band’s sound without losing its hard-rock core: five musicians in a room, playing for the pure pleasure of it.
