MAKOSSA & MEGABLAST, comprised of Marcus Wagner-Lapierre (Makossa) and Sascha Weisz (Megablast), are an Austrian DJ and producer duo known for their unique fusion of house, techno, funk, and African rhythms. Since the early 2000s, they have been shaping the electronic music scene with their distinctive sound. Their debut album, "Kunuaka" (2007), released on Kruder & Dorfmeister’s G-Stone label, brought them international acclaim, blending Afro-Latin beats, trippy analog synths, forceful basslines, and exotic vocals. The album received global support from luminaries like Carl Craig and Gilles Peterson. In 2010, their Ibiza anthem "Soy Como Soy" was released, followed by their second album of the same title in 2011, further showcasing their musical versatility. MAKOSSA & MEGABLAST stand for musical diversity and cultural innovation in electronic music, with a sound that spans Afro/Ethno, House, Techno, Dub, Disco, Broken Beats, and Hip Hop, all enriched with a distinctive analog feel.
