Biography & Metadata

Takahiro Izumikawa (Taka) is a Japanese keyboardist and music producer currently residing in New York. Brooklyn. Passionate yet technical, diverse yet harmonic is the simplest way to depict Taka's inimitable style of music and personality. His work often incorporates aspects of jazz, gospel, soul, hip-hop, traditional Japanese melodies, and other subgenres, depending on his inspiration. Taka is most well-known for his ability to improvise and transpose. Some of the extraordinary musicians Taka has worked with include Anderson. Paak, Erykah Badu, Maurice Brown, Keyon Hearld, Jermaine Holmes, Daru Jones, Mononeon, Timothy Bloom, and YEBBA. Taka hopes his works could inspire others, especially the youth, to be respectful, ambitious, and honest — to themselves and others. His mission is to help others and provide access to high-quality music regardless of whether they're musicians or listeners. Due to this ideology, Taka spends most of his time in the shadows assembling tracks, beats, and frequently even entire melodies for others; hence, although he isn't a megastar, Taka has worked with some of the most prominent names and labels in the music industry. TLDR: He is a pretty decent musician from Japan who often works with big names in the game but isn't that famous himself, and someone who absolutely loves making music。
