The Angel

Singer Songwriter, and regular at Yousef’s Circus events, Laura Mckenna, now Inman. Sent Yousef a rough track she had recorded on her phone. Yousef instantly felt the vibe and asked Laura to send him the basic stems. Getting to work polishing and re-producing and remaking the demo, but never re recording the vocal, Yousef developed it into “Yousef & The Angel - Float Away” which was signed to FFRR/Warner Brothers… This was “The Angel’s” first ever full release. The Angel’s name quickly spread and other artists like Bontan, Kydus, Ki Creighton all worked on collaborations for labels like Under No Illusion. Circus Recordings and MadHouse. However the list of artists and labels don’t necessarily tell The Angels artistic story. She sings and writes all the songs listed above, she plays guitar and has deep melancholic story to tell, and is a far cry from a typical rave front singer. Her music has an overwhelmingly poignant theme which she crafts at her own pace, she sights artist like Kate Bush, AURORA, Alanis Morrisset and Lana del rae Her voice appears as guest on Yousef record ‘Vanity’ for Crosstown Rebels, although not penned by The Angel but by Yousef, Laura still delivers an outstanding and moving and almost bjork like performance that any of her contemporaries would no doubt be blown away by….
