Cloud Chief

Cloud Chief is the music project of Chayen Wittmer, producer, songwriter and musician from Venlo, Netherlands, born in 1991. Raised on jazz records, soul and late-night jam sessions, music was always there. As a teenager he built hip-hop beats in his bedroom, sampling, layering, learning by ear. No training, just obsession and time. Those early productions live on as NfinityBeats and later FamezBeats. He returned during COVID, working late nights from a small attic studio. What began as a way to breathe grew into real songs and real stories. Cloud Chief launched in 2022, a natural evolution of everything before. The sound lives between boom bap and blues, warm, slightly worn at the edges, live-played instruments woven through sample-based production. Emotion over precision. Imperfections kept in deliberately. Music that breathes. AI is used here the way a studio is used: as an instrument. Lyrics are handwritten; composition, mixing and mastering done by hand. Even the voice, built from Chayen's own voice and performed through AI, the way a producer plays any other instrument. What you hear is him. Cloud Chief runs alongside FamezBeats (instrumental beats) and Wyatt Creed, a fully virtual, AI-generated artist he writes, produces and directs. Three projects, one musician.
