In the music of the 27-year-old self-made woman with Kosovo-Albanian roots, everything comes together: Urban, rap and pop as well as soulful ballads and self-confident rap parts - and in German, Dutch, English and Albanian. In the Netherlands, everyone already knows Dorentina since the two "Beauty & The Beast" collabo projects with her fiancé Kosso. Both the first and the second part entered the Top 20 and last year the duo's songs counted more than 90 million streams on Spotify. Now Dorentina is also taking off with solo songs. She raps, she sings, she belts and she lends her voice to soulful ballads - and not only in German, but also in English, Dutch and Albanian. With her first single "Paranoia" Dorentina now starts solo. The collabo with the Dutch-Turkish rap star Murda is just the first harbinger of her "Dori" EP, which will be released later this year. "Music is my best friend," Dorentina says. "It's always been there for me, calming me down and helping me process things. I don't like to talk about my problems and doubts, but music makes it easy. It's important to me that my songs are really about something and have a message. That people listen to the music and it gives them something - just like it's always given me something."
