Biography & Metadata
Founded in Valencia, Spain, in 1991, The Pyramid is the electronic music project of composer and producer Jorge Valverde, driven by a passion for melodic Synthpop, evocative synthesizer sounds and the emotional power of electronic music. Inspired by the pioneering spirit of artists such as Kraftwerk, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Ultravox and Azul y Negro, The Pyramid blends vintage synthesizer textures, captivating melodies and atmospheric soundscapes into a musical universe where technology and human emotion coexist. From nostalgic and melancholic passages to uplifting rhythms and cinematic electronic landscapes, every composition seeks to tell a story, evoke a memory or awaken a feeling. With a discography spanning HAL 9000, Synthetic, Robots & Computers, Behind The Lights and The Tannhäuser Gate, The Pyramid has explored the many dimensions of electronic music, from melodic Synthpop and nostalgic atmospheres to cinematic soundscapes and cosmic journeys, always placing melody and emotion at the heart of its compositions. Now, a new chapter begins with Synthland, an upcoming album that brings together the essence of The Pyramid: timeless synthesizer melodies, retrofuturistic atmospheres and emotions expressed through electronic sound. The journey begins with Synthland. The City., the album's first single. The Pyramid — Electronic sounds. Human emotions.
