From the pews of Harlem church choirs to the legendary dance floor of the Paradise Garage, Tammy Lucas has always been a force of nature. Her journey into the spotlight began at age 15, performing in Manhattan's elite club circuit, where she caught the ear of the industry’s most innovative pioneers.  The Architect of New Jack Swing. Tammy’s partnership with Teddy Riley was a pivotal moment in music history. Together, they helped craft the foundational "New Jack Swing" sound. Her sophisticated writing and rich, velvet tone are the backbone of timeless hits, including: • "Joy" – The Blackstreet classic (originally co-written with Michael Jackson for his Dangerous album).  • "Is It Good To You" – The breakout feature from the Juice soundtrack that remains a staple of R&B and House music playlists today.  Beyond the Riley era, Tammy was an integral part of the early Neptunes writing team, helping Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo refine their iconic sound during their formative years.
