Biography & Metadata

Mimis Nikolopoulos is a Greek composer, guitarist and music producer whose work moves between cinematic music, contemporary folk and Mediterranean soundscapes. With the classical guitar often at its centre, his music combines organic instrumentation, subtle electronic textures and influences from Greece, the Balkans and the Iberian Peninsula. He has released two solo albums, *Deviation* (2017) and *The Way Back Home* (2023). Since forming the Mimis Nikolopoulos Band in 2018, he has performed in Greece and across Europe, presenting instrumental compositions alongside songs shaped by different musical traditions. His work also includes music for film, documentary, television and theatre, with selected credits including "Letters from the Blue", "142 Years", "A Couple of Years", "Psychokores", "The Events" and "The Taming of the Shrew". His collaborations include Sandra Sangiao, Dj Panko, Martha Frintzila, Dimitris Voutsas, Alkyone and Carlos Marquez. He is currently creating new songs and instrumental music, exploring the meeting point between songwriting, contemporary production and cinematic storytelling.
