Biography & Metadata
Tommaso Giusti is an Italian singer-songwriter and poet, born in Lucca in 1980. Music found him early: as a boy he would run home to the piano to chase the melodies that years later became “Non più poesia”, and at 14 he played his first season as a performer. A finalist at Sanremo Giovani in 1998, he then spent years on stage in musical theatre, and in 2004 published the poetry collection “Parole e fumo” (Maria Pacini Fazzi Editore). His songs live on the thin line between vulnerability and strength, turning wounds into melody and silence into meaning. His album “Stelle” is an intimate tribute to the people who left a mark on his life: a father’s love in “Il giorno sbagliato” and “Luna Mia”, a brother’s bond in “Didodò”, a mother’s lessons in “Mi hai insegnato a cadere”. It built him a loyal audience. With “UTO”, inspired by Andrea De Carlo’s novel, he reached full maturity: a record of nostalgia and rebellion that entered the Top 10 in Germany and Spain, led by “Non più poesia”, “Il buio dentro” and “Lo spazio dei silenzi”. His single “Scusa” debuted at No. 1 on the Italian indie chart. His latest singles, “Un’anima”, “Amori inutili” and “Triste gioia”, keep exploring love, time and the poetry we risk losing, one quiet song at a time.
