Zambian-born and Chicago-raised, Sheba’s music blends the soulful sounds of R&B and Soul with the edge of pop and Rap. Growing up as a pastor’s kid, her early exposure to music was limited—Michael Jackson was a rare favorite, with her brother secretly bringing in Tupac CDs. Influenced by icons like Aaliyah, Lauryn Hill, and Destiny's Child, she discovered her passion watching Left Eye perform at the 1996 Grammys. Thisissheba was born from a journey of self-definition and creating a "third world" uniquely her own. With spirituality and unique storytelling woven into her creative process, Sheba writes from life experiences, infusing humor, nostalgia, and depth into every lyric. She hopes to leave listeners feeling liberated and connected, capturing the raw beauty of the human experience.
