Biography & Metadata
VESNA is an all-female band that has become a symbol of feminine strength, courage, and originality on the Czech music scene. Their sound weaves together a range of styles – pop melodies intertwined with touches of folklore and rap – and they boldly sing in various Slavic languages. Alongside their powerful lyrics, they place strong emphasis on visuals: the band creates and directs most of their own music videos and stage imagery. Their international breakthrough came with the Eurovision hit "My Sister’s Crown", which became the second most streamed Czech song abroad in history. At home, they won audiences over with "Moravo" —the second most played Czech music video of 2024. VESNA first captured attention with their debut album Pátá bohyně (The Fifth Goddess), recorded with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, and later celebrated success with their third studio album Muzika Slavica, featuring hits like "Dokola" and "Plakaly". The band has collaborated with artists such as Vojta Dyk, Ego, and Kateřina Marie Tichá, and in 2025 launched an international project titled FEMALE ANTHEMS, joining forces with acclaimed female musicians and bands, including Poland’s Lor and Latvia’s Tautumeitas. On October 22, Vesna announced their dream concert at Forum Karlín, promising an extraordinary musical show that will celebrate everything the band stands for – female power, artistic freedom, and Slavic soul.
