Biography & Metadata

Charlie Gray, also known as Inafekt, has spent more than a decade shaping a sound that moves fluidly between house, techno, disco, progressive and beyond. Growing up in Liverpool he honed his skills in the studio from an early age and began deep record digging in his 20s, developing a taste for selections that bridge eras together. His sets balance curiosity with control, drawing on both fresh cuts and long-forgotten vinyl to create something that feels familiar yet unexpected. The Netherlands has become a second home, with appearances at festivals such as Zeezout and Into the Woods and club sets at Lofi, Thuishaven and Shelter. His touring has taken him further afield to the UK’s Warehouse Project and Silverworks, the iconic Badaboum in Paris, stages across Australia and clubs and festivals in Belgium and Ibiza including Amnesia and Ushuaïa. On the production side his music has landed on labels like Agrio, Correspondant, Shall Not Fade, Ministry of Sound and Nervous Records, earning the support from the best selectors around the world. Inafekt’s approach is rooted in risk, resisting the pull to play it safe and leaning into the challenge of the unknown. Whether in a small dark room or on a festival stage he treats each set as an open conversation shaped in the moment by the records he plays and the crowd in front of him.
