Woodkid

Woodkid grew up in France and spent many years in the United States, where he built part of his career, fascinated by bridging music and visuals. As a musician and director, Woodkid has collaborated with Drake, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Pharrell Williams, Lana del Rey, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, FKA Twigs, Katy Perry, John Legend, Mahmood, Lykke Li… Woodkid won the 2023 Sacem Award for the most exported French artist and is now one of the most listened-to French singers internationally. Nominated 3 times for the prestigious Grammy Awards and multiple times for the MTV Music Awards, he has also worked with major figures in cinema, composing or lending his music to the works of Steven Spielberg, Alfonso Cuaron, and Xavier Dolan. In 2018, he won a Brit Award for his collaboration with Harry Styles. He composed the opening music for the 2024 Paris Olympics. He has also provided music for Louis Vuitton’s women’s shows by Nicolas Ghesquière for over ten seasons. In 2022, with his song “Guns for Hire,” he created the soundtrack for Episode 6 of the hit Netflix series Arcane, which later won the Emmy Award for best sound. The track has since accumulated nearly 50 million streams on Spotify. His hit single “Run Boy Run,” certified five times diamond (250 million streams), also became one of the most used tracks on TikTok in 2022 and 2023. His album The Golden Age has sold over a million copies, and his discography now combines nearly a billion cumulative streams across platforms.
