Johan Airijoki

Johan Airijoki is a singer-songwriter from the Arctic northern Sweden. Johan was raised in the mining town Malmberget (Iron mountain). He is a miner and self taught musician that through extensive touring, karisma and lyrics that capture the heart of his audience, has earned a growing fanbase. In 2014 Johan released his debut EP "Jag tror det handlar om att" (I Think It's About) The four songs was recorded with The tallest man on earth Lo-fi blues with a twangy sound. The lyrics equal parts poetry and profanity. In 2015 Johan released his debut album "Vissa saker måste brännas" (Some Things Needs To Be Burnt) Recorded in a friend's cabin with a single stereo microphone. The songs are playful spur of the moment recordings. In 2017 Johan released his second album "Allting kommer att bli bra" (Everything Is Going To Be Alright) By now it's a fuller lusher sound. Johan is collaborating with great musicians. In 2018 Johan released his third album "En blyg viol" (A shy violet) The irony is that the songs are not shy at all. Sometimes braggadocios and other times deeply personal. It's an album about Johan's family history with references to Johan's grandfathers father who was a singer, speaker and labour force organizer. In 2020 Johan released the album "Får jag vara din kille" (Can I Be Your Boyfriend) It's the Sgt Pepper of the bunch. It´s musical exploration, deep grooves combined with synths, samples and guitars. The lyrics are about romantic love and heartache.
