Palmiyeler stands for soothing melodies, cinematic landscapes and groovy beats. Unlike the majority of neo-psych bands, Palmiyeler have a distinct sound that’s both familiar and original, blending garage rock classicism with some Morricone cool. Founded in Istanbul in 2013 by Mertcan Mertbilek, the band explores ordinary themes under a breezy Mediterranean sun, creating music that feels both nostalgic and hauntingly smooth. Over the years, Palmiyeler have toured extensively, including two US tours and two European tours. With one EP and five studio albums to date, their sixth studio album, VI, was released on June 3, 2026. Palmiyeler is curretly: M. Mertbilek: Guitar & Vocals Yağız İpek: Drums Burcu Birinci: Bass Sarp Öztürk: Guitar
