Biography & Metadata

KATERINA is a 23 year old artist from Crete, Greece based in Glasgow. She moved to Scotland in 2021 to study Commercial Music at UWS and released her debut EP ‘Songs I Wrote When I Was 18’ a few months after graduating. Her music has been played on BBC introducing multiple times and she was also on the cover of the Skinny magazine as part of PopGirlz Scotland. Key live performances include King Tuts, Hug and Pint and Sofar Sounds. 'Princess on the Run' is the first single from KATERINA's new EP 'All The Levitating Girls From Mars', an eccentric and cinematic project that was recorded at Dystopia studio with Luigi Pasquini as the recording engineer and producer for this EP. The record features an array of exciting and well established musicians from Scotland: Mandy Clark (bass), Lauren Macdonald (drums), Jenny Clifford (guitar) Juan Laforet (piano) and Mariia Zhuravlova (violin). 'All The Levitating Girls From Mars' is a step away from her melodic and melancholic debut, this is alternative indie folk pop with a whimsical lyrical narrative. This record was funded by Creative Scotland.
