20-year-old Nasir Scott, from Columbia, Maryland, has been playing classical and contemporary piano by ear since he was able to reach the keys. With no formal piano training, Nasir began composing his own music at age 6. Despite having never had a lesson, Nas entered his first performance competitions both locally and regionally in Pittsburgh, where he placed first. These experiences inspired him to pursue a future in music. He began producing in July 2023, later releasing his first song, 'Pursuit of Solace,' a month later.
