The Plinths

The Plinths is a rock band based in Lund, Sweden. It was born in 2022 in the city of Malmö, Sweden by Ignacio Andragnez (Argentina) on bass and vocals, Johan Froderberg on drums and Markus Ling on guitar (both from Sweden). In 2023, after a few gigs around Malmö, Lund, and Helsingborg the band decided to go into the mythical Tambourine Studios in Malmö to record their first EP, convinced that the best way to start and reflect the sound of the band was to capture it live. The result is a 4-song EP that reflects the soul of the band. Consistently raw and catchy. With songs about themes such as the monotony of modern life, the lack of empathy and common sense and the struggle to express emotions without being judged. At the end of 2024 Markus leaves the band and Thomas Brüggemann (Germany) joins on guitar to bring in some fresh air with his influences and playing. Today the band is ready to go out and shake the hive in the big fields of modern music.
