Biography & Metadata
When no one was looking, Chicago’s The Second Summer snuck in the back door of the guitar pop scene in 2024 with their self-released EP “undertow”. The band signed with Hardstop Records in 2026 and continues to write and perform its bittersweet, energetic, hooky guitar power pop. A new release is planned for summer 2026. "an album like this makes you realise … you were just waiting to be reawakened and this album woke me up clearly." -Don Valentine, I Can't Hear A Single music blog “eight tracks of musical beauty” -Wayne Lundqvist Ford, The Ice Cream Man Power Pop & More podcast "One of the best EP's I've heard" - Powerpopaholic
