Headwaters is a musical experience shaped by the vision of Onur Okutan and Engin Özbatır, rooted in electronic music and club culture. After Engin’s departure, the project continued to evolve under Onur’s artistic direction, carrying its original spirit into a more personal and performance-driven form. Built around a live electronics and live-edit approach, Headwaters treats the stage as a real-time production space. Synthesizers, controllers, and processing tools are used dynamically, while live guitar adds an organic and emotional layer to the electronic foundation. Each performance is fluid and unrepeatable—constructed in the moment and shaped by the energy of the crowd. With releases on labels such as Ellum and Kinetika, Headwaters has gained recognition across the international electronic music circuit. Blending atmospheric melodies with club-focused intensity, the project moves between introspection and dancefloor energy, continuously redefining its sound through new productions and live performances.
