composer / pianist Eri Chichibu is an internationally acclaimed composer and musician known for her deeply immersive, cinematic soundscapes. After graduating from Tohoku University in Japan, her life took a transformative turn when she chose to dedicate herself to music. She moved to the U.S. to attend Berklee College of Music, graduating summa cum laude with degrees in Jazz Composition, Film Scoring, and Video Game Scoring. Inspired by nature and the inner depths of the human psyche, Chichibu’s music beautifully balances delicate nuance, intricate structure, and spontaneous improvisation. Her evocative approach to storytelling has earned wide recognition, creating "pictorial" music that paints vivid imagery in the listener's mind. Her exceptional talent has been recognized with prestigious accolades, including the ISJAC Owen Prize (US), the ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award (US), and CD Shop Award (JP).
