Biography & Metadata
Some bands fade away. Others find their way back. TAHM make indie-pop with big melodies, guitars, synths and a little bite. Born in the Lake District, childhood friends Katie Palmer, Ian Palmer and Paul Hodgson signed to Roadrunner Records in the late ’90s, heard their music in Hollywood films and shared stages with Shed Seven and Smoke City. Then life happened. Twenty-five years slipped by. Now they’re making music again in a tiny attic studio in Kendal, with longtime collaborator George Shilling mixing and mastering. With support from BBC Introducing, this second chapter brings together everything they’ve lived through and the excitement of starting again. New single “So Long Dreams” arrives in a hazy shade of the end of summer: bittersweet, bruised and quietly defiant. A song about the cost of being kind, recognising the damage someone leaves behind and finally finding the strength to let go. New songs. New audience. Same 4 friends.
