Roddy Hart

Roddy Hart is a Glasgow-born singer-songwriter, composer and broadcaster whose richly melodic songwriting bridges alt-rock, folk and cinematic pop. Over his solo releases — Bookmarks, Sign Language, Road of Bones — and in collaboration with his band The Lonesome Fire (debuting with a widescreen, Springsteen-inflected sound), he has become a defining voice on Scotland’s modern music scene. His career extends beyond the stage: he’s scored feature films (Anna and the Apocalypse, Our Ladies), penned for TV (including Animaniacs) — winning a Daytime Emmy — and curated the annual Roaming Roots Revue at Celtic Connections. With BBC radio shows to his name and tours with artists such as Wilco, Kris Kristofferson, Ron Sexsmith and KT Tunstall , he bridges songwriter intimacy with expansive ambition.
