Biography & Metadata

Bad Valentines are a Helsinki rockers who owe a few pints to the British and American punk rock pioneers and 1970's arena rock acts as well as the masters of 1960’s pop rock. Defiant and uncompromising, they’ve concocted a potent brew of life, love and courage that conveys the sign of these times. Most members of Bad Valentines are long timers of the Finnish indie music scene and have previously made names for themselves in acts including Daggerplay Plastic Tears and Flush. Bad Valentines recorded their first EP, 'Memory Tattoos' with producer Petri Majuri who has previously worked with Franz Ferdinand, Michael Monroe and Hanoi Rocks. New single 'November Shadows' is out now . Debut album 'Bad Valentines' will be released in 2027. "This Finnish five piece just dropped this issue's best EP with the four track 'Memory Tattoos.' " 9/10 ~ Eugene Butcher, Vive Le Rock, issue #122, 2025 "A highly recommended listen." ~ realgonerocks.com "One minute you’re lost in a 60s pop-inflected melody that could almost be playing from a transistor radio in a dream, the next, a guitar riff cuts through like a shard of glass, demanding your attention." ~ Chris The Blogger, musicarenagh.com ”Best of all, while the message that drives the song is poignant and, sadly, more relevant than ever, the song never goes down a dark and earnest route, a trap that too many rock bands fall into.” ~ Dave Franklin, The Big Takeover
