Southpoint

Founded in 2015 by Josh Gunston and Jay McDougall (KXVU), Southpoint was created to reinvigorate Brighton's dance music scene and provide a platform for emerging talent. What began as a local movement has grown into a globally recognised independent label, built on a strong DIY ethos and a passion for underground music. Over the last decade, Southpoint has released more than 500 records and played a key role in championing artists including Bushbaby, Hamdi and MPH, while continuing to support the next generation of electronic talent. Through sold out events, festival takeovers and support from leading outlets including UKF, Mixmag and BBC Radio 1, the label has earned a reputation as one of the UK's leading voices in underground dance music. Entering its second decade, Southpoint continues to push forward with a diverse roster of artists, ambitious release schedules and a commitment to discovering the sounds shaping the future of the underground.
