Biography & Metadata
The Western Ghats is a Mumbai-based indie duo founded by Aryaendra Shekhar and Sunil George, known for their genre-fluid sound rooted in electronic rock. Over the years, they’ve released 15+ singles and a full-length studio album, blending elements of pop, world music, and rock into a fresh, evolving soundscape. They’ve performed at some of India’s biggest festivals — including NH7 Weekender, Mood Indigo, Zomaland, Udaipur World Music Festival, GIFLIF, and ASEAN World Music Fest — building a reputation for their high-energy, immersive live sets that blur the lines between genres and cultures.
