Yumi Ito

With her voice, Yumi Ito creates worlds far beyond all boundaries. The Polish-Japanese-Swiss artist is considered one of the most outstanding representatives of vocal improvisation, moving effortlessly between genres and her roles as a singer, pianist, composer and improviser. Her music is a veritable ocean of art-pop, jazz and neoclassical sounds. Shaped by countless concerts and international tours, Ito performs with the clarity of a Zen master, combining introspection with a uniquely powerful energy. Career highlights include performances at the Blue Note New York, Montreux Jazz Festival, and tours across Japan, Colombia, Venezuela and Europe. With five albums to her name, including the critically acclaimed Lonely Island (2025, enja records), Yumi Ito continues to explore new musical horizons. A new musical chapter begins: Yumi Ito's new single arrives on October 30, offering a first glimpse into her forthcoming album, set for release in April 2027 on enja yellowbird. Whether performing solo or with her band featuring “drum poet” Iago Fernández, double bassist Nadav Erlich and guitarist Alessio Cazzetta, her music remains rooted in the spirit of boundlessness. https://www.yumiito.com https://www.linktr.ee/yumiitomusic
