Biography & Metadata

Born in Paramaribo, Suriname, and based in the Netherlands, Jason Imanuel is a DJ and producer whose sound blends dancehall, Afro and Caribbean rhythms with his Surinamese roots. His musical journey began at 12, experimenting with samples in Tracker software to create bubbling remixes and original beats. His productions gained support from DJs, radio stations and television programmes, inspiring him to take his music from the studio to festival stages across the Netherlands. His hit single “Gimme Punany” reached Spotify’s Viral 50 chart, while his distinctive remixes continue to receive support from leading DJ’s worldwide. His catalogue includes releases with Sizzla, Charly Black, Barrington Levy and Macka Diamond with tracks such as “This Gyal”, “Badda Dan Me”, “Be Strong” and “Kitty” highlighting his international collaborations. From his first bubbling beats to international collaborations, Jason’s roots remain the driving force behind his music. Caribbean energy, Surinamese flavour and Afro grooves define a sound built to cross borders and move dance floors.
