Biography & Metadata

After years of recording under various monikers from her youth back in Phoenix to her recent years in New York, Moore released a few early projects as koleżanka before making her official debut with 2021’s “Place Is”, created with longtime co-collaborator and multi-instrumentalist Ark Calkins ( arkie) . “Place Is” is an exegesis into the very notion of place and all the ways place can be interacted with an identified. Following the release, Moore joined ascendant art-rock group Foyer Red . Foyer Red transformed the way she thought about guitar, and this experience coupled with a bout of lockdown and isolation contributed to what would become “Alone with the Sound the Mind Makes”, her second album released in 2023. In the fall of 2023, Moore severed her flexor tendon on her left middle finger while opening a bottle a wine at her bartending job. She spent three months awaiting surgery and recovering, unsure of what range of motion her finger would have and an unknown future as an instrumentalist. In this time, she composed songs with one hand and created what would eventually become her third record, “Zone 2”. “Zone 2" is an anatomical term used to describe the area in which the injury occured. Because of the increased risk of complications and generally unpredictable post-op outcome, it is also referred to as "No Man's Land”. This uncertainty was distilled into music and into an exploration of present self in a seemingly impossible future. Zone 2 is out on 9/18/26
