Biography & Metadata

Maria Nayler is a British recording artist, vocal coach and songwriter. She began her music career, with her then band, Ultraviolet, whom released two singles in the very early 90s, including “Kites” and “I Wish That”. Maria then went on to provide vocals for “Ladies With an Attitude” by Epitome of Hype, which sampled lines from Madonna’s hit single, “Vogue”. “Ladies With an Attitude” became a success on the underground scene, garnering attention for Maria. In 1995, Maria joined forces with legendary DJ and producer Sasha for “Be As One,” which reached No. 17 in the UK Singles Chart. Then came one of the defining records of her career — “One and One” with Robert Miles. Released in 1996. Maria went on to release solo material including “Naked and Sacred,” “Will You Be With Me,” “Love Is The God,” “Angry Skies,” while continuing to collaborate with some of the biggest names in electronic and trance music, including Tilt, Ferry Corsten, 4 Strings, Tenishia and many others. Her long-awaited album She, originally from the 1990s was released in 2022. Now, Maria is entering another powerful chapter with The Crone Project, a deeply personal new album of songs written and produced by Maria herself. Inspired by stepping into her Crone years, the project explores a lifetime of love, loss, healing, growth, grief, self-discovery and transformation Her latest release, “Under Winter’s Hold” with Alan Morris, released in October 2026, continues that extraordinary journey.
