Jasmine Sokko

Bearing an aura of mystery and a sleek, sophisticated electronic pop sound, Singapore artist Jasmine Sokko rode a series of popular singles to mainstream success in the late 2010s. Known for concealing her image with various types of face masks, she earned millions of streams with melodic tracks like "Tired" and "Hurt." Sokko made her debut in 2016 with the lush, self-produced single "1057," quickly establishing herself over the next two years as one of Singapore's rising stars. After signing with Warner Music Singapore in 2018, she released the hit song "Hurt." At the end of that year, she competed in the Chinese EDM reality competition Rave Now, where she made it to the finals, breaking into the Chinese market in the process. Her 2019 track "Tired" became a massively streamed hit and helped her win an MTV Europe Music Award for Best Southeast Asian Act. She followed up in 2020 with "Fever." ~ Timothy Monger
