Shelby Morgan

Shelby Morgan is a singer-songwriter based out of Baltimore, Maryland, whose style is a mix of 80’s-inspired synth-pop, with elements of indie-pop and contemporary pop-rock, bringing together nostalgia and modern sensibilities with a personal, emotional flair. In 2018, when Shelby started performing, she launched a vintage clothing line, Insomnia Vintage, to coincide with her music aesthetic. She believes in promoting sustainability in music and fashion and creating music for the beautifully nostalgic—where every song will feel like a different piece of your favorite vintage items. Her influences include Miley Cyrus, Stevie Nicks, and Robert Smith (The Cure), and has been compared vocally to Miley Cyrus, Shania Twain and P!nk. From 2018 to 2020 she was mentored under legend Nile Rodgers who helped her gain attention from Record Labels and Reps from Sony Music and Universal Music Group. In March 2020, she was on her way to signing a record deal when a week later Covid-19 forced everyone into lockdown. Instead of letting this discourage her, Shelby was determined to fine-tune her sound and has since independently released 4 EP's, performing as much as possible and released her first full length LP in February 2024.
