Celebrating 48 years as an artiste, composer, lyricist, vocal stylist, coach, and judge for singing, talent, and songwriting competitions. Fran is the Child Sponsorship Ambassador for World Vision Malaysia, now in her 21st year, and a firm advocate for protecting children and families in poverty. She is widely known as Ikon Perpaduan and The Fundraising Queen. She has enjoyed a colourful musical career in Malaysia with over twenty No. 1 hits, more than 30 hits in local music charts, and won “Best Female Vocalist” for five consecutive years. Fran has five Platinum albums, two gold discs, and over 30 albums including singles, solo and duet albums, and compilations. Her contributions to music and society have earned major national and industry recognition. These include the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP), carrying the title Dato’, conferred by the Sultan of Pahang, the BH33 Anugerah Pencapaian Sepanjang Hayat Bintang Popular (Lifetime Achievement Award), and inclusion in Winning Women, Malaysia’s 100 Women of Influence. She has also been honoured with The Iron Lady Award for her work supporting women and children, and recognised by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia and The Star as one of the country’s most inspiring women. Her competitive milestones include winning Juara Lagu in 1986 with Sekadar di Pinggiran, winning the ASEAN Song Festival in 1987, placing third at Juara Lagu 1987 with Kerna Terpaksa, and second at Juara Lagu 1988 with Diriku Terbelenggu.
