J-Smash

Born at Tshilidzini Hospital and raised in the heart of Limpopo, first in Maugani, then in Louis Trichardt. Uhone Luvhengo, widely known as J-Smash, is a true testament to what happens when raw talent meets purpose. His journey from a small-town dreamer to one of South Africa’s most vital cultural voices is nothing short of remarkable. A multifaceted creative force, J-Smash wears many hats: producer, deejay, engineer, and A&R specialist. With over 8 years of industry experience, he has worked alongside some of the country’s most respected talents, including Samthing Soweto, A-Reece, Focalistic, and many more. His breakout sound and undeniable presence have made him one of the most influential music minds emerging from the 015 region. Beyond the music, J-Smash is deeply rooted in community upliftment. As the founder of the J-Smash Foundation, he champions youth empowerment, focusing on creating opportunities that allow young people to dream bigger and do greater for their communities. His vision is clear: to give back to the soil that raised him. Described as one of the most far-reaching and essential brands to emerge from Limpopo, J-Smash is not just a name, it’s a movement. Grounded in authenticity, driven by ambition, and guided by purpose, he is the future.
