Biography & Metadata

Blending his talent and passion for electronic music with a strong sense of gamer nostalgia, VGR reimagines iconic themes and songs from his favorite anime and games as main-stage, EDM festival-style bangers. Having previously partnered with Cartoon Network for projects such as the official Steven Universe Future Remix compilation and Cartoon Network Theme Songs Holiday Remix compilation, VGR has released tracks on prestigious labels including Monstercat and composed music for video games such as Fortnite, Screamer (2026), Omega Strikers, as well as the award-winning, cross-platform Rocket League under his original music alias Nokae. In 2025, VGR came up with the idea for and helped to produce Monstercat’s largely successful, official “Undertale 10th Anniversary Remixes” album. VGR currently lives in Tokyo working on the Japanese music industry, composing and producing for J-Pop, movies and anime, including scoring for the live action movie adaptation of the massive soccer anime, “Blue Lock.” With more than 250,000 subscribers on YouTube and 300 million plays across all platforms, VGR has made it his mission to take anime and game music to the next level.
