Biography & Metadata

With the 2014 formation of I’m With Her, singer/songwriters Sarah Jarosz, Aoife O’Donovan, and Sara Watkins introduced a close-knit alliance of highly esteemed musicians, each with a deep understanding of folk tradition and passion for expanding its possibilities. Since their debut See You Around and singles like “Call My Name” (winner of the 2020 Grammy for Best American Roots Song), the trio have taken time out from their individual careers to write together, arriving at a new album exploring ancestry, lineage, and the collective human experience. On their GRAMMY-winning sophomore LP Wild and Clear and Blue, I’m With Her bring luminous harmonies to a body of work about reaching into the past, navigating the present, and moving forward into the unknown. In a departure from the stripped-back intimacy of See You Around—a 2018 release featured on best-of-the-year lists from the New York Times—Wild and Clear and Blue centers on a more elaborate sound informed by the trio’s intensified musical kinship. Produced by Josh Kaufman, Wild and Clear and Blue adds urgency to their entangling of narrative, storytelling, and reflection on cycles of life. Their new album Sing Me Alive, out April 17, captures the magic behind the band’s live shows during their 2025 tour and offers an enduring example of why the band will stand the test of time.
