bjÖrnar is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. Born in 1968 and lives in Trondheim, Norway. He has previously been in many bands, but is now making music as a solo artist where he collaborates with different singers. The music is hard rock with the occasional blend of contemporary pop elements. Currently he is revisiting some songs he wrote and recorded with drummer/singer John Garner from the legendary band Sir Lord Baltimore back in the mid 2000's. These recordings will be released on Spotify. During the past year he has worked with Irish singer Matt Wilson (Brian Downey’s Alive & Dangerous), Nashville-based singer/songwriter Katie Burke and Norwegian musician and producer Terje Craig from the band Adventure. He was a founding member and primary songwriter of the Norwegian folk-metal band Lumsk. He left the band after the release of their debut album in 2003. He has also released some songs with lyrics based on the Norwegian outlaw legend Gjest Baardsen’s life. This led to forming the band called Ævintyr mixing folk, hard rock and romantic classical music. He also founded the band Tons of Blue, playing 70’ies hard rock style. They have released one album in 2021.
