DJ Juanito

DJ Juanito is owner operator of Groove Nation Records, established in 1992! GNR was at the forefront of the House Music movement in the 90's! Groove Nation was conceived in Los Angeles and was the 1st House Label on the West Coast of the USA. In the early years our tracks were created on an 8 track, 1/4 inch tape recorder using a SMPTE track to lock up a Macintosh SE computer with a 9 inch Monochrome screen with a resolution of 512 x 342 pixels. Very primitive but effective! We would then run that track over the mastering house to cut it onto a lacquer plate using a cutting lathe to then get it pressed into a vinyl record. That was our weekly routine in the 90's. In 1995 Groove Nation partnered with Universal Records to launch Universal's 1st release EVER, a dance track! DJ Juanito's Feels So Good Featuring Lina Santiago. It was EPIC! Throughout the years Groove Nation has survived the death of vinyl, Napster, CD's and everything else thrown our way, but we're still here. We them jumped into digital downloads and never looked back. Groove Nation has definitely changed with the times and has stayed true to our one and only love, DANCE MUSIC!
