Biography & Metadata

ONELEGMAN was born in 2003 from the underground scene of Reggio Emilia, evolving from the earlier project PornoDrome (2001), known for a single 27-minute grindcore track of the same title. Their 2007 demo was hailed by the Italian specialized press as best self-production of the year. In 2011 came their debut "The Crack", distributed in the USA, UK, Germany and Italy. In 2015 came "Do You Really Think This World Was Made For You?", a more rock and orchestral record, warmly received abroad too. In late 2019 the band returned to the studio for their third album, "Event Horizon", released in October 2022. In October 2026 the EP "25 Years Odyssey" came out, released one track at a time in two versions. Each record has its own concept: "The Crack" explores the human soul; "Do You Really Think..." confronts the listener with nature's power; "Event Horizon" looks to the sky to understand humanity; "25 Years Odyssey" is a journey into the mind through singer Cecca's personal story, whose father fought a neurodegenerative disease for ten years before passing. Its seven tracks tell of the brief flashes of lucidity when he re-emerged from oblivion, only to sink back into it. The band has opened for Deep Purple, Misfits, Hatebreed, Wolfmother, Lacuna Coil, Cynic, Freak Kitchen and Destrage; their sound is compared to Devin Townsend, Alice in Chains and Faith No More.
