Kikki Danielsson

For more than five decades, Kikki Danielsson has been one of Sweden’s most beloved recording artists. Since launching her career in the late 1960s, she has topped the charts, won Sweden’s biggest music competition, and become a true national icon. Although many first discovered her through pop classics like “Good Vibrations”, country music has always been at the heart of her artistry. In 1984, Kikki travelled to Nashville to record one of Sweden’s earliest contemporary country albums. During her stay, she was named an honorary citizen of Nashville and earned a place on the wall of the legendary Grand Ole Opry. In 2015, she returned to her roots with the acclaimed “Postcard From A Painted Lady”, the first collaboration with songwriter and producer Sulo Karlsson. Together they created the celebrated “Painted Lady” trilogy before continuing with the Swedish-language album Ängel med sorgkant (2022), blending country and Americana with Scandinavian storytelling. Today, Kikki remains one of Scandinavia’s most respected country artists, known for her unmistakable voice, emotional honesty and timeless songwriting. The new single “Samma skrot & korn” marks the latest chapter in her long-standing creative partnership with Sulo.
